LEDBURY Rugby Club failed to return to winning ways with a 24-10 defeat at lowly Harbury in Midlands Three West (South).
The Ross Road side were pipped 27-26 at home to leaders Dunlop the previous week, which ended a seven-match winning run in the league, and could not recover for their trip to Warwickshire.
Sixth-placed Ledbury are back home on Saturday to entertain one-time leaders Woodrush, who have slipped down the table to third.
Newent cemented second position in the Tribute Western Counties North table with a 54-19 home thrashing of North Bristol and visit fourth-placed Chew Valley on Saturday.
The Gloucestershire side are 13 points clear of Bristol Harlequins in third with five games left to play.
Leaders Coney Hill are four points ahead of Newent, whose only two league defeats have been against the table-toppers.
