I WHOLEHEARTEDLY agree with the comments of Peter Atkins (February 27) regarding dogs and their owners in the local area.
It is high time dog owners took far more responsibility for their dogs, particularly in the Malvern Hills, where it seems completely acceptable to be accosted by a stranger's pet whether you like it or not.
The arrogance and irresponsibility of some dog owners in the area is quite staggering at times, whether this relates to cleaning up after their dogs or the control they have over their pet, as touched upon by Mr Atkins.
I would preferably like to see all dogs on leads as mandatory, particularly in the hills area.
This way, they can still get their exercise without posing a nuisance or threat to others far less keen on them!
Not everybody is a dog lover in the area!
