SOME of the great attractions of Malvern are the beauty of its surroundings, the various trails and paths which crisscross our majestic hills and common land plus the many hamlets in and around the area which are a delight to walk through.

Malvern and many of these villages could potentially double in size as a result of the South Worcestershire Development Plan (SWDP).

Add to this the spectre of the proposed cable car project and we can see the potential for this beautiful area to be ruined forever.

Make no mistake about it, this is a major problem if unchecked could in the next 10 to 20 years, radically alter our countryside.

We need to make it clear to the politicians that we value our countryside.

We who love the Malvern countryside and spend much of our time enjoying it form a large constituency need to challenge the local candidates by asking them, and continuing to ask them, what are they going to do about it.

The party that will defend this beautiful corner of England and set in place a more sensitive policy for development will get my vote.

What about you?
