I WAS delighted to read that Malvern had done so well in the Britain in Bloom awards for this year.
Malvern in Bloom and the town council gardening team have done a superb job and thoroughly deserve the accolades they are now receiving.
I do hope that this award will encourage others in the town to do some tidying up in areas for which they are responsible.
I am shocked by the scruffy state of some spots right in the town centre: weeds and littering are bad, and, for example, the frontages onto Grange Road, Priors Croft, the rear of Iceland and the side of NatWest are a sorry sight – right opposite the theatre, a focus for visitors to (in the words of the Britain in Bloom judges) "this beautiful Worcestershire spa town."
