WORCESTER Wolves boss Paul James has been named the Molten BBL Coach of the Month for January following his side’s sharp upturn in form.
James edged out Johnny White of Plymouth Raiders and Rob Paternostro of Leicester Riders for the accolade.
It was handed to James after registering four wins from five outings which appears to have ignited their stuttering campaign.
Wolves opened up with a superb 99-68 BBL Trophy win against DBL Sharks Sheffield and although they encountered a setback 81-73 loss at Bristol Flyers, they were soon back to winning ways.
James’ men left the fans at Sport Central completely stunned as they spoiled the party for the homecoming 2017 BBL Cup winners Esh Group Eagles Newcastle by clinching a 112-103 triumph.
Less than 48 hours later, Worcester put on a similarly impressive show in the capital as they hit the century mark once again with a 100-71 win over London Lions.
Wolves then wrapped up a highly productive January by continuing their offensive barrage with a 103-84 BBL Championship victory on their home court against Surrey Scorchers.
