WORCESTER Warriors director of rugby Dean Ryan won’t be bringing in any new additions before Sunday’s Aviva Premiership match against fancied Harlequins at Sixways (3pm).

Warriors’ chief said the club were set to “take action” to solve their creaking scrum after last Sunday’s 21-14 defeat against Bath.

Worcester have been liked with former Blue Bulls tighthead prop Frik Kirsten, who is believed to be coming out of retirement.

Kirsten quit the game last December due to injury but has been given medical clearance to resume his playing career.

Warriors have shown immense bravery in defence this term despite their set-piece being under severe pressure for long periods.

Ryan said: “We are just working hard to try to address it (front row issues) but we are doing it with people we have got and we are looking at whether we can get people to come in and help us.

“We will keep working with those that we’ve got and we are reasonably happy with Nick Schonert and the direction he’s heading as a young prop.

“We want to create some layers of depth that gives us a bit more ability to flex in that area.”
