GUEST rider Steve Vanes stole the show on VC Sevale’s fast Severn Stoke course.
Vanes, who was among 28 riders competing, finishing the 10-mile time trial in a blistering 21 minutes 41 seconds. Second place was Worcester rider Martin Lines, who was 44 seconds behind Vanes, and third was Mark Thomas, a further nine seconds slower.
Graham Browning continued his good early season form, finishing in first place for VC Sevale in 23.29.
Mike Amery was second in 23.48 with William Davies completing the podium in 23.59. Worcester St Johns veteran and junior tandem pair of Martin Staines and Jacob Hardiman posted an impressive 27.47.
Worcester’s 13-year-old ace Aimee Lane’s time of 25.53 was not only good enough for first junior, but also first woman overall.
