MALVERN Aikido Club ran their first national course at The Dome, Imperial Road.
The session was led by Sensei Ian McClarence, chief instructor for the British Aikido Federation England.
More than 50 people attended the event over two days.
Aikido, known as the ‘Way of Harmonious Spirit’, was developed by Morihei Ueshiba in the 1920s. Participants redirect an attacker’s energy, requiring no strength. It is suited to men and women with a basic level of fitness.
