MALVERN Joggers’ Julie Caseley finished just outside her personal best in the 25th anniversary of the Great South Run.
The 10-mile race, which was originally contested in Southampton before moving to Portsmouth, boasted humid conditions with little wind.
European Championship 10,000-metre gold medallist Jo Pavey sent 25,000 runners on their way.
On a flat course, all the competitors received a goody bag with drinks, energy bars, a T-shirt and bespoke medal for their efforts.
Caseley, an over 55s category runner, finished in a time of one hour 20 minutes 43 seconds.
It was just 31 seconds outside her personal best, which was set at the run in 2012.
