WELLAND turned up at Evesham the underdog having four players unavailable to choose from for the game. Evesham broke early in the first-half to go ahead, which kick-started Welland into action.

Will Chambers got Welland's opener after persistent pressure on the Evesham goal, followed by Luke Wellham’s first, making the score 1-2.

Evesham then equalised and then grabbed another to put them in front a few minutes later.

Welland raised the stakes by getting another equaliser and Chambers second goal.

Just before half-time Wellham scored his second, making it 3-4.

The second-half saw Welland dominate with Charlie Wasley scoring two and Wellham netting another two, making his tally four in total.

Ryan Williams pulled off some great saves, while Alex Fairweather worked hard in midfield making a goal-line clearance at one end and being part of the attack at the other.

Charlie Lloyd won man-of-the-match for taking on the role of defender and putting an end to the opposition’s chances on the right.
