THE Dymock half-marathon attracted 115 entries from all over England with the village’s James Rose winning.
Representing Severn AC, Rose conquered the event for the third successive year and finished ahead of Halesowen’s Mark Hadley and Gloucester’s Jeremy Mower.
The first veteran was Andy May (Hogweed Trotters) with the team prize going to Almost Athletes and the local award to Newent’s Tony Lewis.
In the women’s section, Forest of Dean runner Fiona Turner was first followed by Megan Judge (Malvern Joggers) and independent athlete Jo Stockton.
The Joggers also took the veteran prize through Jayne Ackroyd and the team accolade, while Dymock’s Annie Dobson toasted the local honours.
