Joshua gets a deal with West Brom

THE Goalkeeping Academy regular Joshua Griffiths has earned a deal with West Bromwich Albion.

Griffiths is playing against young sides from top clubs Ajax, Barcelona and Sporting Lisbon on a tour with the Baggies.

The 10-year-old has been a regular member of the keeping academy at Ledbury where he has received one-to-one tuition from Allan Hawkins.

Hawkins, who runs the centre as well as coaching and scouting for West Brom, said: “Joshua has lived and breathed goalkeeping and impressed the club last season, so to be rewarded with a 12- month contract is great news.”

Malvern is set for goalkeeping courses soon on Monday nights.
