Ashton-under-Hill 0, VFC Keyz 1.
VFC Keyz travelled to Ashton-under-Hill to play the top-of- the-table side from the Evesham Sunday League Division Three in the Worcestershire FA Sunday Minor Cup round three.
Lining up with a 3-5-2 formation, VFC started brightly and created a couple of early chances.
However, Ashton came back into the game and went close midway through the half.
VFC continued to work hard for each other and matched their opposition. It was on the stroke of half-time that VFC got the goal their work rate deserved as Alex Peckquiao split the defence for Michel Panache to finish in style.
VFC dug in during the second-half.
The back three of Joe Kyte, M Hill and Smythe stood firm to defend Usain Mears in goal.
VFC’s hard work and desire kept their opponents chances to a minimum and they were unlucky not to pinch a second on the break.
Kyte’s late scare aside, VFC looked comfortable.
