Bredon 29, Bromyard 12.

BROMYARD came off second best in this top-of-the-table clash in Midlands Four West (South).

They travelled to Bredon and turned in a below-par performance having been unbeaten in the league so far this season. Bromyard found themselves 15–0 down at half-time but fought back early in the second-half through a Jamie Fowler try.

They pulled back to 15–12 when outside-centre Callum Thorneycroft touched down for the second try.

Bredon proved too strong late in the contest as they added two converted tries to put them out of sight.

Bromyard II 60, Evesham III 0.

A TOTAL of 21 points, including a hat-trick of tries, by impressive 17-year-old scrum-half Tom Morris laid the foundation for a comprehensive win for the Bromyard’s second string against Evesham thirds.

Wing Adam Butler opened Bromyard’s account with a try and the experienced Andy Ralph added two further tries before half-time.

Second-half touchdowns by skipper Nick Frost, Jon Middleton and Stu Harrison completed the try count.

Young props Tristan Gibbs and James Layton dominated the forward exchanges and the Phelan brothers Mark and Gareth were in great form.

Bromyard seconds look to extend their unbeaten run tomorrow when they face Tenbury.
