COLWALL and Malvern lost 3-0 at second-from-bottom Badgers in Brockworth as the M5 being closed proved to be the least of their problems.
With only one defender in the team, players were fielded out of position and Badgers scored in the first minute of the West Clubs Women’s League Severn Division One encounter.
But the visitors settled with Kerry Tudge and Georgia Sammons dictating midfield with their passing play.
Mid-table Colwall and Malvern had a few good first-half opportunities but could not convert.
The second period saw the visitors continue to create chances as Becky Lewis’ right-sided runs caused endless problems but the Badgers keeper was in fine form.
Colwall and Malvern were then caught twice on the counter-attack in their last away game of the season.
They complete their league campaign tomorrow against promotion-chasing Blockley at Malvern St James School (2pm).
