A missed penalty condemned Badgers to their third defeat in an even encounter.

Nick Medakovic saw his header tipped over but keeper Henry Davis was sent the wrong way from the penalty spot five minutes from half-time after Mark Stubbs was ruled to have handled.

In a scrappy second period, Chris King headed in the equaliser on the hour from Stubbs’ free-kick but they were caught out on the counter-attack soon after by what proved to be the winner.

After Zack Hunt was fouled in the box, Stubbs’ low penalty on 75 minutes was saved by the home keeper, giving Dysons their first win of the season.

* Upton Town suffered their second defeat of the Cheltenham Association League Division One season 3-0 at home to unbeaten Whaddon United.

It was a tough game but Town, now down to fifth in the table, looked good in possession and the Whaddon keeper deserved his clean sheet with some great saves.

Captain Kristian Richardson put in a man-of-the-match display in attack but Town’s performance off the ball let them down.

They were punished three times in a close game and host Badsey Ranger Reserves tomorrow in the Worcestershire FA Saturday Minor Cup first round (2pm).
