MALVERN cricket star Georgia Hennessy’s career continues to go from strength to strength after she was selected to represent England women’s under 19s in South Africa.

The 16-year-old is part of a 15-strong squad named to play three Twenty 20s and four one-day internationals, starting next month.

The young squad face Emerging South Africa in three games of each format as well as a one-day international with South Africa on October 21 in Potchefstroom.

It is the latest in a string of achievements for Hennessy, who now plays for Warwickshire, following three matches with the England Academy against Pakistan at Loughborough University.

At club level, the talented teenager became the first female to hit a Birmingham League century with her 114 not out helping Barnards Green to a 60-run victory over Water Orton in Second XI Division Two (South).
