IT was an exciting start to the school year at St Peter’s Droitwich CE Academy, with the unveiling of the multifunctional space in the Early Years outdoor area.
The old area saw a complete transformation to be able to offer the children a variety of all-weather activities.
The space now includes timber climbing frame with cargo net, rock garden, tyre planters, undercover spaces for games and learning in an outdoor environment.
Over the coming months, children will make use of all the equipment that has been purchased specifically for outdoor use.
Jane Watt’s, EYFS phase leader, said: “The start of the school year is always exciting, but the opening of the new EYFS outdoor area gave an added buzz to the first day of school.”
