FOOTAGE of a man shouting abuse at a group of Muslim friends has been revealed.
We reported how Neil Hotchkiss made offensive remarks towards the men, telling one who was wearing a robe, he 'looked like a jihadi' and saying 'his sort' was not welcome in this country.
This shocking video, which we have edited to protect the identity of one of the victims, shows some of Hotchkiss's rant outside Selasie Clarke's Jamaican food trailer Jamaica Wah Gwaam.
The film contains language that some may find offensive.
Hotchkiss, aged 44, of Pierpoint Street, admitted two counts of acting in a way likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress, which was religiously aggravated.
He was given a community order for 12 months and must wear an electronic monitoring tag until October. He was also ordered to pay compensation and costs.
After we reported on the incident, which happened in Church Street, between Barclays Bank and Superdrug on Friday, July 7, our online readers reacted to the story, offering their support to the victims.
Simon Shorthouse said: "Unfortunately there are a few idiots out there.
"Hopefully this is not a common occurrence.
"Anyone going to Worcester soon should visit Selasie, buy some Jamaican food and wish him well."
Rosie Butcher said: "So disgusting, its shameful these little men feel the need to harass Muslims in this way. I do not condone this at all, utterly despicable."
However, Neil Turton said racists were in the minority in Worcester, posting: "I think Worcester has some amazing people.
"You will get a minority that are, but generally Worcester people are pretty amazing!"
