A SENIORS club is welcoming new members to join its 'friendly and relaxed' weekly meet-ups in Rock Hill.

The volunteer-led Bromsgrove Seniors Club meets every Thursday at St Peter's Community Centre to chat, swap books, play bingo, sing and eat homemade food.

Volunteer Therese Trueman said: "It's a free social group to bring our lovely community together. We have been running the club successfully for 18 months and would like to expand our members to allow more local senior people to enjoy this wonderful and special opportunity."

New members are promised fresh sandwiches, cakes and soup that 'would put any afternoon tea to shame', and a chance to meet old and new friends.

The group gathers for lunch between 11.30am and 2pm, with the next event taking place on Thursday, July 6.

Attendance costs £2.50 to cover basic costs. For more information, call 07728893156.
