DUDLEY South MP Mike Wood has declared a West Midlands jobs fair to be a ‘tremendous success.’
The event was on November 24 at Brierley Hill Civic Hall and played host to employers and job seekers from across the midlands and the UK.
Mike Wood said: “We’ve had some of the biggest names in the West Midlands economy at the event, companies like Jaguar Land Rover and Aldi.”
The Black Country is an unemployment blackspot and Mr Wood believes these events are key to helping job seekers find employment.
He added: “There are thousands of people in Dudley who still want a job and can’t find a job, at the same time we have all these great companies in the West Midlands who are looking for the right people.”
More than 40 companies were represented at the event offering training schemes and career opportunities.
