THE Malvern Lynx Marching Band placed a credible sixth at the World Championships, held in Yorkshire last weekend.
Organiser Malcolm Fish said he was proud of the 24 band members who travelled to Richmond to compete in the 12-strong senior category.
"We had a lot of inexperienced members this year, and they all did well and took a lot from it," he said.
"The weather was good, everybody had fun and all in all it was a very good weekend."
Mr Fish said the band were now looking forward to the year's remaining events, including the Welsh Indoor Championships and the European Championships.
The band resumes its indoor practice sessions at Dyson Perrins High School on Monday from 6.30-7.45pm.
Anyone interested in joining can go along or call Mr Fish on 01684 564233.
