PLANS to improve transport in Malvern over the next 15 years were approved this week by Worcestershire County Council's cabinet.
The latest Local Transport Plan, called LTP3, will now go before the full council on Thursday, February 17, before going on to transport minister Norman Baker in London.
The countywide scheme includes the Great Malvern Urban Package, which details what improvements should be made to highways and public transport around the town.
The package consists of five schemes, including one for enhancing Great Malvern town centre.
Coun Derek Prodger MBE, Worcesteshire's cabinet member for transport and environment, said: "This will include improvements to footways, lighting, signage, crossings and signals."
