A CHIEF executive has been appointed to the new trust that will soon take over responsibility for Malvern Community Hospital.
The new Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust will be assuming responsibility for community and mental health services across the county.
Sarah Dugan, currently chief executive of NHS Dudley, will take up her new post early next month.
She said: “ I am really looking forward to getting started and working with staff, patients, service users and partners to see how we can continue to improve services.”
Chris Burdon, who was named as chairman of the new trust last week, said: “Sarah’s broad range of experience, knowledge and skills that she has acquired throughout her career will be a huge asset to the new trust in ensuring we deliver the best quality of care to the patients we serve.”
