YOUNGSTERS at Redmarley CE School learned all about the importance of keeping their hands clean this week.
On Tuesday (February 8) they were visited by nurse Michelle Devilleforte-Jones from Nuffield Health Cheltenham Hospital, which is leading a campaign to reduce childhood infections by highlighting the importance of hand hygiene.
She used a special glow lamp to teach the children how washing their hands thoroughly will stop germs in their tracks, and also demonstrated just how easily they can spread using a colourful game called ‘glitter tag’.
Pupils also took part in hand hygiene poster competition, with gift vouchers and the chance to have their designs displayed in the hospital waiting room on offer for the best entries.
