A CHRISTMAS fair at St Mary's Church, Sherrards Green, on Saturday, December 4, raised nearly £500 for church funds.
Rev Clare Griffiths said: "This is a lot more than we were expecting, so naturally we're delighted with the result, especially as it was so cold."
The next event at the church is a youth barbecue on Tuesday, December 14, from 6pm to 8pm. The event is free, and young people are welcome to drop by.
Rev Griffiths said: "It might be a bit cold, but there will be a fire to keep us warm and it will be atmospheric, with a tent, boxes to sit on and some lighting."
