A SCRATCH choir is being formed to sing at the annual Hanley Castle, Hanley Swan and Welland carol service, on Sunday, December 19, in St Mary’s Church, Hanley Castle.
The service has not had a choir for several years, and organisers hope people from across the community, with or without singing experience, will become involved.
Music teacher Jackie Bannister will be choir leader.
Rev Frances Wookey said: “It will be wonderful to have the singing led by the choir to enhance this traditional service of nine lessons and carols as we celebrate the birth of Jesus.”
