IT seemed a tall order when Malvern Male Voice Choir’s musical director Charles Pavey told the members that they would be learning six new pieces in just over four weeks.
Christmas is a busy time for everyone, but tomorrow (Saturday, December 11), the choir will be singing three times in one day, and adding new seasonal sparkle to the familiar Christmas repertoire was an important ingredient.
"The choir has responded very well and despite some initial doubts I’m very confident we will give some creditable renditions when we come to perform," said Mr Pavey.
Among the new pieces the choir will sing is the popular Do You Hear What I Hear? as well as some less well -known seasonal pieces. Each concert will include traditional carols.
Malvern Male Voice Choir will be singing for the shoppers in Barnards Green at 11.30am and in Malvern Priory at 3pm. The residents of Storer Court will be treated to a private concert the same day.
