THERE was another good party at Welland Parish Hall on Wednesday (December 2) when St Wulstan’s Church, of Little Malvern, held its annual bazaar. Despite a lower turnout than last year, profits were only marginally down at just over £2,440.
All who went commented on the pleasant atmosphere and the good value on the wide range of stalls. Cedric Cooper serenaded early arrivals on the bagpies, the home produce table was very busy and the jams and chutneys made by parishioners were popular.
Bazaar co-ordinator James Sweetman was delighted with the result. He said: “Bearing in mind the recession and everyone watching their pennies, to be only just over £100 down on last year was an excellent result.”
The funds raised will go towards more seating in the church and essential repairs to the building.
