A BUS service formerly used by workers at Malvern Retail Park will be restored in January after discussions with operator Diamond.

The number 44, going to Malvern Mondays to Saturdays, will call at Morrisons Supermarket at 8.01pm, 9.01pm and 10.01pm.

Journeys from Malvern will call at the Retail Park bus stop at 8.38pm and 9.38pm.

The bus provided an important service to those who worked on the retail park as they often finish late.

Liberal Democrat county councillor for Malvern Trinity division, Beverley Nielsen, said: “I hope this will help to save or reinstate jobs on the retail park which were threatened by the withdrawal of the 44 service through the retail park at this critical time of day when people were finishing the late shift at work. As employers in the park operate shifts starting early and working until after the stores close at 8pm, this bus service has played an important role in supporting staff working on different shifts for retailers on the park.”

The full timetable is now available on the Worcestershire County Council website or the Worcestershire Hub on 01905 765765 or 01684 862151.

The changes will come into effect on January 4.
