MALVERN Community First’s IT project, getwithit.org.uk, are offering to repair voluntary-sector computers for free on Wednesday and Thursday, (November 18 and 19) next week.

Computers that are running very slowly, producing error messages, or seem to be broken in some way can be brought in to be independently checked over and assessed. If it can be fixed, the project will pay for labour costs.

Getwithit has teamed up with Microprice Computers of Malvern, and makes this limited offer available to computers used at voluntary organisations, including home computers used for voluntary work.

Getwithit’s IT officer Matt Ramsay said: “Computers start to slow down and cause all sorts of problems with normal usage such as installing or uninstalling software and web browsing. A new lease of life can be given to a computer with some routine housekeeping.

"This is a fabulous opportunity for the voluntary sector to benefit from having an IT professional look at problems on their computers and fix them for free.”

For those computers deemed unsuitable for fixing, Microprice Computers are kindly offering heavily discounted refurbished computers as part of this offer.

To register your computer for this offer, contact Phyllis Lewis on 01432 267820 or e-mail info@getwithit.org.uk.
