A MAN suffered a swollen lip and scratches to his neck after he was punched in the face during an attempted robbery in Malvern.
The victim, who was in his 20s, was hurt in an alleyway off Elgar Avenue.
He was walking through the alleyway when he passed an unknown man, who tried to take his wallet and shopping bags.
The man tried to push his attacker away and was able to leave the alleyway without anything being taken.
The attempted robbery happened at around 5.40pm on Tuesday, November 22.
Police want to hear from anyone who saw the suspect who is a white man, between 5ft 11ins and 6ft 1.
He is of average build and was wearing a black or navy hoody.
The robber may also have an injury to his left cheek.
