Castlemorton Common Association will be holding their annual Summer Shindig on Saturday 9 July on Castlemorton Common near the Golden Valley. This family fun day commences at 2pm with a children’s Gymkhana followed by family races on foot and bicycle. The dog show will start at 4.30pm. We have prizes for all classes donated by Countrywide, Malvern; UK Cycle Centre, Malvern; and Pioneer Feeds & Country Store, Ledbury. Classic vehicles will be displayed on site and you will be able to ‘Meet your Council’ as a Mick Davies from Malvern Hills District Council will be in attendance. In the evening from 7.30pm onwards there will be a pig roast, licensed bar and two top class live bands ‘Turnstone’ and ‘Houses of the Holy’ providing the entertainment. Quoits, Skittles and a raffle will be ongoing. Funds raised this year will be donated to Riding for the Disabled and the Friends of Malvern Community Hospital.
