WELLINGTON Heath was represented in Stromstad, Sweden, where the Ledbury Community Choir joined the Tontamjarna Choir for a grand concert, and they did all indeed sing a couple of ABBA songs. The hospitality was superb, the weather perfect, and a good time was had by all. The Swedish choir have been invited to sing in Ledbury at a date to be announced.

A reminder to all that there will be no church service in Wellington Heath this Sunday morning: instead, all are invited to join the Rogation walk, meeting at Yatton old church at 10am, and finishing at Much Marcle. At the completion of the walk everyone is invited to join in with the ploughman’s lunch at the barn in Aylton. There will be a small charge for the lunch. For more details, please phone Hugh or Sally on 01531 633835.

An event by Bloor Homes has been planned to inform the public about the proposed development north of the viaduct in Ledbury. This will be on Tuesday 10 May in the Market Theatre, Ledbury, from 2pm -8pm. If you have comments or questions, this will be the place to voice them.

The Craft Group meet on Thursday from 2pm - 4pm in the Memorial Hall’s committee room.

Other village activities continue as usual.

And as Shakespeare comes to the fore at this time, here’s a famous quote from the bard to end with: “To thine own self be true, and it must follow, as the night the day, thou canst not then be false to any man.”

Enjoy your week!
