TONIGHT, Friday, April 15, at Bosbury Parish Hall, Flicks in the Sticks present The Lady in the Van (12A) starring Alex Jennings and Dame Maggie Smith. The film tells the true story of the relationship between playwright Alan Bennett and the singular Miss Shepherd, a woman of uncertain origins, who ‘temporarily’ parked her van in Bennett’s London driveway and proceeded to live there for 15 years. Homemade ice cream, wine and nibbles will be available on the night. Entrance is £5. Parish Hall doors open at 7.15pm for a 7.30pm start.

Tomorrow, Saturday, April 16, Bosbury Farmers’ Market and Coffee Morning will be held from 10.30am to 12noon in the Parish Hall. All our regular food and craft stalls will be there. Refreshments of Fairtrade coffee or tea, with a biscuit, will be on offer for £1. The market is an ideal venue to meet up with friends and neighbours. It also provides a warm welcome and local information for newcomers. Entry as always is free.

New stalls are always welcome at the Farmers’ Market, space permitting. To take a stall you need to pre-book by calling Rhinedd (01531 640076) or Liz (01531 640415)
