WELLAND Art and Crafts Group welcomed Krystyna Lamb to speak at their April Meeting on "Crafting with recycled materials". She arrived with at least eight bulging carrier bags which she gradually emptied as she displayed and explained their contents throughout the evening to the amazement of members. Beautiful handbags constructed from drink can openers and brightly coloured glittered thread, purses, spectacle cases, mobile phone cases all craftily made from potato crisp bags and baskets of varying sizes crocheted from strips cut from old T shirts. Following her demonstrations Krystyna invited members to "have a go" which they readily accepted.
The next meeting of the Group is a Practical Evening on Friday, May 13 at 7.30pm, held in Welland Parish Hall.
