TERRIFIC evening with the Powick Community Choir in St. James Church Welland. Their varied programme of modern and classical music was enjoyed by well over 100 people. The Church is hoping to bring the Choir back again later on in the year for a Christmas theme. The Church raised a substantial amount with ticket sales and a very generous donation towards their new sound system and they thank every one who contributed.
The Roving Crows on Friday, April 15 are the next event towards the sound system. I have been told we may need a few thousand to get a really good up to date one, that anyone can operate, not just the Techies.
The Tuesday Club is cancelled for a while due to illness with the helpers.
Don't forget its the last Flea Market of the season tomorrow April 9. None during the summer as the car boots start. Flea Markets start again on September 3.
