HERE we are at the end of January already: just eleven months ‘til Christmas again! Meanwhile, there will be lots happening in the village so keep your ears to the ground.
Most of the usual village activities are up and running again.
This Sunday at Christ Church is the service of The Common Book of Prayer, 9.30am. Wednesday prayers continue as usual at 9.30am. For those who can make it, all churches are invited to join in with prayer at St Michael’s church on a Thursday at 7am, or 12 noon or 7pm.
Last Sunday, St Michael’s church gave a warm welcome to those attending the ecumenical service where the churches of Ledbury gathered for a joint meeting. The warm fellowship made up for the fact that the heating in the church was not working! The Bishop of Hereford, the Right Reverent Richard Frith delivered the sermon.
The Wellington Heath Walkers are planning to do the Angidy Trail on Thursday. For more details, please phone Clive and Maggie on 01531 640617.
The Craft Group meet on Thursday for their monthly meeting, 2pm - 4pm in the Memorial Hall.
Barefoot Dancing also takes place in the Memorial Hall where they meet for their monthly get-together, Friday February 5, 7.30pm – 9.30pm.
And a thought for the week: ‘Life is not measured by the breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.’
