OUR meeting of members on October 7 listened to a talk called Letters From America given by long-time member, John Stoney. John’s talks are full of information useful to other family historians, and this was no exception. He had the opportunity to obtain two letters from distant relations which had somehow come down the generations via the female line so could have been understandably lost. They gave insights into the sadness that families experienced when siblings are split by oceans.
The next meeting is on November 4 and the talk, given by Anthony Collis, is called Celebrating Worcestershire People who made Worcestershire Famous.
