TONIGHT is the big Halloween party at the Memorial Hall. There will be games for the children from 7pm-8pm, followed by hot dogs. Come dressed up in your fancy dress outfit and bring your carved pumpkin along. Adults £2.50 and children £1.50, and for more information please phone Natalie on 01531 632431.

The Craft Group meet on Thursday in the Memorial Hall from 2pm-4pm. Please contact Amanda if you would like to come along, 01531 633325.

On Friday evening the Barefoot Dancing Group meet in the Hall from 7.30-9.30pm and Jane Horton is the contact-person (01531 637217).

The next meeting of the Parish Council is on Tuesday, November 17, in the Hall, 7.30pm. More councillors are needed, so please come along and volunteer to help to keep the village a safe and well-organised place.

Welcoming Newcomers to the village takes place on Saturday, November 21, from 10.30-11.30am in the Memorial Hall. If you are new in the village, please come along. There are many activities and groups in the village and they would be happy to answer any queries you might have.

The Angelic Christmas Fayre is on Saturday, November 28, guess where? The Memorial Hall! If you can help with donations of gifts or cakes etc, please phone Marilyn on 01531 633140. Doors open at 10amm – 12 noon. Proceeds are for Christ Church – the village church.

The variety show, “Another Box of Baubles” is on Saturday, December 5, in the evening. There will be an assortment of carols, songs, sketches and readings.

Carol singing around the village will be on Wednesday, December 16, and this is a fun occasion for the whole family. Meet at the old oak tree. Details to follow.
