Our second social event this year took place on Friday, October 16 in the form of a Poppy Bingo night, held at Callow End club and we all had a pleasant evening with many people going home with some very good prizes. It was a successful exercise and raised £201 for the Poppy Appeal and our thanks go to the club for allowing us the facility and to Ann and Gwen for all their hard work on the night and beforehand.

As the annual Poppy Appeal fortnight is once again upon us we are looking forward to the continued generous support of our community for this very important and vital charity.

On the sporting scene; the branch will be submitting a team for the annual inter-branch skittles match at Claines and we hope to win the Trevor Barry memorial trophy for the first time this year.

We are still seeking new members, if you would like to get involved and join us contact John Mason on 01905 830805.

Our next branch meeting will be the AGM on Tuesday, November 10 at Madresfield Club starting at 8.15pm prompt and this is the most important meeting of the year in keeping the Royal British Legion alive in our community so please come and support us if you can.
