THE recent Charity Day held at Colwall to raise money for the Nepal Earthquake Appeal was a great success.
It was organised by Malvern Save the Children and Colwall Cricket Club and held at their ground. The event led by Gwyneth and Derek Rees raised £851 (eight hundred and fifty one pounds).
The young peoples cricket match between Barnards Green under 11's coached by Nigel Davies and Colwall under 11's coached by Mark Koliasnikoff was a great attraction. Malvern and Worcester Save the Children's Branches provided some of the stalls, teas in the cricket pavilion and a barbecue. The other stalls were provided by Colwall groups This useful sum of money will be dedicated to the Save the Children Nepal Earthquake Appeal.
