THE school year 2014/5 is turning into another excellent year for Young Enterprise at the Chase, with the Year 12 Young Enterprise company Venture having a very successful evening at the recent local finals held at Morgan Motors.

Venture has been running very successful six-a-side leagues in Malvern and are also diversifying into corporate sports events.

Several of Venture's members attended the event and gave a presentation that clearly impressed the judges, since they were chosen to represent Worcestershire in the Young Enterprise Herefordshire and Worcestershire final on Tuesday, May 5, at County Hall in Worcester.

Mike Woods of the Chase said: "This is the fifth year in a row that a Chase YE company has made it to the Herefordshire and Worcestershire finals, and continues the excellent reputation Chase sixth-formers have for running some of the best YE companies in South Worcestershire.

"14 companies from across South Worcestershire attended the event, and Venture won a joint winners prize for being one of the top four companies, a tremendous achievement.

"They also won a separate award for the excellent social, ethical and environmental aspects of their work, and Joe Mead was awarded the prize for best managing director, having been nominated for this award by the team."
