LUNCH Box supporters turned out in force to hear musicians from Malvern College with Jonathan Brown, the new Director of Music, who brought a selection of his talented pupils.

Over 130 people were in the audience, who enjoyed 30 minutes of great music.

The concert opened with the Jazz Band playing Green Onions and When I fall in love; Conducted by Ed Swindell.

Selina Yogeshwar gave a very polished performance of Durch Zärtlichkeit und Schmeicheln from the opera Die Entführung aus dem Serail by Mozart.

The concert continued with the Vocal Ensemble singing Mozart’s Ave Verum followed by Claire de Lune by Debussy played by Charlie Tuengerthal.

The concert concluded with the Jazz Band playing Valerie.

The next Lunch Box on Thursday, February 5 will be in the upstairs Hall of the Lyttelton Rooms, NOT in the Priory (as work will be ongoing in the Church to removed the bells and renew the bell frame).

The speaker will be Rosemary Nixon will be talking about our connections with spirituality and her job working for ROOTS Church Publishers.

Bring your own lunch from 12.30pm, the talk will start at 1pm. No charge – all welcome.
