AT the December meeting members were entertained to some lovely music by the Wells and Wyche WI Handbell Ringers.
Members sang and hummed along with the tunes and in between were told something of the history of handbell ringing. A couple of the members were brave enough to try their hand at ringing and did very well. Members finished with some Christmas Carols before the refreshment break served by members of the Committee.
The business part then started with the reading of the Minutes of the last meeting and correspondence received since then before details were finalised for those who will be attending the Christmas Lunch at The Marlbank at Welland.
The January meeting will be on Tuesday, January 6 at 10.30am (doors open approx 10am) and our speaker will be Peter Asquith talking about his time as a Bevin Boy. New members and visitors are always welcome – please phone Jill on 01684 566540 for more information.
