TODAY, Friday, December 5, Bosbury Primary School hold their Christmas Fair, in Bosbury Church, from 2.30pm to 4.30pm.

There will be gifts, tombola for adults and children, toys, plants, Christmas goodies, cakes, refreshments and a grand draw with great prizes.

On Sunday, December 7, Morning Praise, all-age worship with contemporary and traditional elements, including the Junior Choir, will be held at 10am at Holy Trinity Church. All are welcome.

Also on Sunday, December 7, the Tree of Lights, sponsored in memory of loved ones, will be lit in front of the Parish Hall at 6pm. Following the lighting come and share a glass of mulled wine and a mince pie in the Parish Hall and join in some carol singing. Any profit will be shared between the Parish Hall and the Church.

Santa will be in Bosbury to join in the Parish Hall’s Christmas Fair on Saturday, December 13, from 10am to noon. He will be arriving at 10.30am with a present for each child. There will also be competitions and prizes to win, mulled wine and mince pies to enjoy, as well as shopping opportunities for Christmas gifts, decorations, cards, cakes and Christmas produce and plants.

The next Flicks in the Sticks, on Friday, December 19, will be Grow Your Own (PG), a gentle comedy set in the north of England. A bunch of grumpy old men spend their days nurturing their beloved allotments, while passing comment on their neighbours' vegetables. They're less than happy when a family of asylum seekers move in on their precious patch. Homemade ice cream, wine and nibbles will be available on the night. Entrance is £5 for adults and £2.50 for children. Doors open at 7.15pm for a 7.30pm start.

The Christmas Farmers’ Market and Coffee Morning will be on Saturday, December 20, between 10.30am and noon, at Bosbury Parish Hall. New stalls are always welcome, space permitting. To take a stall you need to pre-book by calling Rhinedd (01531 640076) or Liz (01531 640415).
