The Malvern Singers, MD Edwina Ward, accompanist Ron Ward with special guests, Nicola Shorland (Flute) and Tim Sidford (Piano) present "A Winters Light" a concert of seasonal songs and music.
Flautist Nicola Shorland has shared her musical talents across the world in orchestras and as a chamber musician
She has performed as a soloist with the Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra of Singapore and has worked with the Symphony Orchestra of India and toured China with the London Mozart Symphony Orchestra.
Nicola studied at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama in London with performer/composer Ian Clarke and has received many awards for her inspirational music.
Her music for the concert includes, " Fantasies in E Major" by Telemann, " Gavotte" by Gossec, and "Chanson and Rondeau" by John Rutter.
The Malvern Singers will be performing, "The Time of Snow" by Bob Chilcott , "Twas in The Moon of Wintertime" arranged by Anthony Baldwin, "A Christmas Blessing" from the music of Philip Stopford and a delightful arrangement by Chuck Bridwell of " Nutcracker Jingles" (with apologies to Tchaikovsky).
This along with a varied selection of Christmas music to lighten a winters evening.
Come along to the Chase High School Geraldine Road Thursday, December 4 at 7.30pm, tickets are £5 and available from choir members, or on the door, refreshments will be available with donations to this years chosen charity, "SMILE" ( Sensory Movement Interaction in Life Experiences)
