The St Wulstan’s Church Christmas Bazaar will be held this year on Wednesday, December 3 at the Parish Hall.

Last year, Jean Brown Knitwear had to cancel at short notice due to Nick Brown severely damaging his ankle. After major surgery he is now recovering, and they have promised the jumpers will be at our Bazaar this year! The homemade produce stall is always popular with a variety of tasty jams and chutneys. Well over 150 jars will be available for purchase.

All the stalls again provide an excellent opportunity to find interesting presents for friends and relations without spending a fortune!

The Restoration Raffle is again well supported by local and national businesses. First Prize is a Christmas hamper worth at least £75, and second prize is a John Lewis Voucher for £50. There are at least 12 other prizes including a dinner for two at the Cottage in the Wood, some fine whisky and a golfing umbrella. Black Mountain Smokery is coming again with their excellent range of delicacies for the festive season.

After their first attendance last year both Jaqua Jewellery with fresh water pearls, and Corriander Floral art with dried flower decorations for the Christmas and Winter season are making a welcome return. Phoenix Trading will have a selection of cards and wrapping paper. There will be two stalls with craft items made by the local parishioners, including Cowleigh Park Candles whose products are made from recycling candle remains from a wide variety of sources.

The Ancient and Modern Stall will again have separate tables for jigsaws, games, and all the items we have been given. There are always some real bargains to be found here.
