PRESIDENT Pam presided over the April meeting and welcomed visitors and after concluding the business section of the meeting the speaker for the evening was introduced.
Fran Collins had gamely come on her own despite the absence of her husband who had been called away on business.
Members then sat up straight and paid attention [Fran is a school teacher] and had a very informative talk and visual presentation on the American hospitals in the Malvern area during the Second World War. It certainly gave members a different perspective on the local landscape and history.
The next meeting will be on Thursday, May 1 when resolutions for the National AGM will be discussed and it will also be AGM.
