LAW firm Thursfields is helping to raise funds for blood cancer charity Leukaemia CARE by encouraging people to make Wills next week.

From Monday, June 8 the solicitors will be offering its services and expertise to draw up a simple single Will or a couples’ Will free of charge, but recommends that anyone making a Will under the scheme donates £65 for a single Will or £110 for a couples’ Will. All money raised during the week will help to fund the charity’s early diagnosis project for GPs which will help to reduce the delays blood cancer patients face in diagnosis.

Tom Evans, associate solicitor at Thursfields, which has offices in Worcester, Kidderminster and Stourport-on-Severn, said: “Many people put off having a Will but having one in place means you’ll have peace of mind that when you pass away, your loved ones are protected and provided for according to your wishes. We are passionate about supporting local charities and admire the excellent work that Leukaemia CARE does for the patients and families who are affected by a blood cancer. As a firm, we believe Leukaemia CARE performs an invaluable role in raising awareness of blood cancers and the importance of early diagnosis and want to support them in this respect. We are proud to be able to help such a worthy cause and we hope that the money raised will help them continue with the invaluable support they provide.”
